Congressman Brian Jack, who represents Georgia and won his seat in 2024 by defeating Maura Keller with 66.3% of the vote, used his social media account this week to highlight legislative efforts and local commemorations related to veterans.
On May 23, Jack wrote about legislative activity regarding veterans’ rights: “This week, Chairman Mike Bost and I led the effort to pass H.R.1041, the Veterans 2nd Amendment Act, which will restore the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms to over 250,000 veterans who were previously prevented from doing so, if they simply had a fiduciary. Thank you https://t.co/BtxYXaqGNl”.
On Memorial Day, May 25, Jack posted a message honoring fallen service members: “Today, we honor the lives of the brave warriors who died in service to our country’s Armed Forces. May their sacrifices and the heartbreak felt by their families remind us of the cost of freedom and the price of liberty on this solemn day of remembrance. https://t.co/hwOO7a3b6R”.
Later that same day, he shared details from a local event in Newnan: “This morning, I was honored to join Coweta County veterans, families, and community leaders at Newnan’s Memorial Day Ceremony. Newnan is a community from which heroes are born. Two of Georgia’s 27 Medal of Honor recipients were from Newnan, and dozens more have earned a Purple https://t.co/epiJpCLVWt”.
Jack has been active in representing his district since winning election against Maura Keller with over two-thirds of the vote in November 2024.
