November 4, 2025, has been set as the date for the upcoming General Election. Secretary of State Raffensperger has announced a Special Election on the same day for Public Service Commission Districts 2 and 3. Additional details are available through the Secretary of State’s office.
Carroll County will also hold a Special Election to consider renewing the 2027 SPLOST. Municipal elections in Bowdon, Carrollton, Mt. Zion, Villa Rica, and Whitesburg are scheduled for November 4 as well.
On Election Day, voters are required to cast their ballots at their designated precinct polling places between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Voters can confirm their polling locations and check their registration status by visiting the GA My Voter Page. The deadline to register to vote for this election is October 6, 2025.
Early voting will be available at the Carroll County Election Office located at 997 Newnan Rd in Carrollton from October 14 through October 31. Voting hours during early voting will vary by date but generally run from morning until late afternoon or early evening. An additional early voting site will operate at Powell Park Recreation Center in Villa Rica during the last week of early voting, from October 27 to October 31.
In related local education news, enrollment at Carroll County schools increased by 3.2% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, with a total enrollment of 20,769 students according to data from the Georgia Department of Education (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up approximately 54.9% of the student body (https://www.gadoe.org/), while multiracial students accounted for about 6.7% (https://www.gadoe.org/).
