Carroll County schedules monthly emergency siren test for October 1

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Agency will conduct its regular monthly test of the Emergency Warning Siren System on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The test is scheduled for noon and will involve a one-minute emergency tone from sirens placed throughout Carroll County, Georgia.

According to the agency, these tests are necessary to ensure that the warning system operates correctly. If there is inclement weather such as rain or overcast conditions, the test will be postponed and rescheduled.

Carroll County has seen an increase in school enrollment by 3.2% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, with a total of 20,769 students enrolled according to data from the Georgia Department of Education (https://www.gadoe.org/). The student population is made up mostly of white students at 54.9%, while multiracial students account for 6.7% (https://www.gadoe.org/).

“Thank you for your support!” stated the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Agency in their announcement.
