Former Newnan High School standout Austin Roberts played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Newnan High School standout Austin Roberts’ current collegiate team the Albany State Golden Rams won 2-10 against the Tampa Spartans in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at UT Baseball Field at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Tampa Spartans in the tournament.

The Albany State Golden Rams’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 1 p.m. at UT Baseball Field.
