The Greater Haralson Chamber has announced the addition of the Harold Shedd Foundation as a new member. On June 20, the Chamber participated in the unveiling of the vision for the Harold Shedd Music Gallery at The Hub in downtown Bremen, Georgia.
The event included remarks from Tara Chapman, President and CEO of the Greater Haralson Chamber, who welcomed the foundation and recognized Harold Shedd’s contributions to music and his connection to Haralson County.
“We are thrilled to see the Harold Shedd Music Gallery come to life here in Haralson County,” said Chapman. “This project will not only honor the incredible legacy of Harold Shedd but also serve as a cultural landmark that will drive tourism and enrich the fabric of our town for years to come.”
The gallery aims to highlight Harold Shedd’s career and influence on country and southern rock music. After the unveiling, attendees enjoyed a free concert by Caleb Lee Hutchinson, an American Idol runner-up and Grammy-nominated artist from West Georgia who was discovered by Shedd during his early teens.
According to the Chamber, both the gallery and a planned museum are expected to play an important role in promoting cultural tourism in Bremen while creating new opportunities for economic growth in Haralson County.
