On Thursday, May 8, former Troup County High School standout Maggie McDonald’s current collegiate team the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes lost 0-6 against the Francis Marion Patriots in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at FMU Softball Stadium at 3 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Francis Marion Patriots in the tournament.

The Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes’ next game will take place on Friday, May 9 at 4:05 p.m. at FMU Softball Stadium.
