Meriwether County encourages public to use Citizen Request Tracker for community feedback

Meriwether County announced on Mar. 7 that residents can use the Citizen Request Tracker to submit general concerns, comments, or compliments. The system also allows account holders to log in and monitor the progress of their existing reports.

The county’s statement highlights the importance of providing a direct channel for residents to communicate with local government. By using this platform, officials aim to improve responsiveness and transparency in addressing community issues.

“Citizen Request Tracker allows you to notify us about a general concern, comment, or compliment. If you have an account, you can also log in to view the progress of your existing report. Learn more about Citizen Request Tracker today!” according to Meriwether County.

Recent data shows changes within Meriwether County schools that may inform some community concerns. Enrollment at Meriwether County schools dropped by 1.3% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education. Black students were the most represented ethnic group within county schools at 56%, followed by white students at 33%, multiracial students at 6%, Hispanic students at 4%, and Asian students at 1%, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

By encouraging residents to participate through this tracking system, Meriwether County seeks ongoing engagement and input from its diverse population.
