This will be a casual, generative poetry workshop inspired by selections from When the Light of the World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through, the 2020 Norton Anthology of Native Nations edited by United States Poet Laureate Joy Harjo.

"We will slow read together, allowing layers of meaning to unfold, then create work of or own," says Auzelle Epeneter. "All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome."

Registration is required, so do not forget to check out the Newnan Carnegie Library Eventbrite page to reserve a seat. More information about the event can be found on the Newnan Carnegie Library website and on their Facebook page.
