Piedmont Newnan Hospital issued the following announcement on September 21.
Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Heart Institute are pleased to announce that Daniel Haithcock, M.D., an electrophysiologist with more than 20 years of experience, has joined Piedmont Heart Institute Athens Cardiology. Dr. Haithcock’s office is located on the Piedmont Athens Regional campus in the Medical Services Building
Dr. Haithcock specializes in cardiac electrophysiology with special interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia. He also has expertise in device management as well as medical management of arrhythmias. Piedmont Heart has one of the leading electrophysiology centers in the country, offering complete consultative, diagnostic and disease management services for patients with heart rhythm disturbances.
Dr. Haithcock earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Temple University Hospital and served a year on faculty as Chief Resident. He completed Cardiology and Electrophysiology fellowships at Duke University Hospital. Dr. Haithcock is board certified in Cardiology, Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow in both the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
