Carroll County - GA recently issued the following announcement.
Thank you to Danny Yates with Public Works for documenting the cleanup from the New Years Eve tornado that ripped through parts of the Temple and Villa Rica communities. The tornado damaged homes, vehicles, barns, and outbuildings, and left a path of destruction by leaving numerous trees down and debris in its wake. A big thank you to our Public Works department who have worked tirelessly to help clear the storm damage left behind.
Although we hate to see such events like this occur, and we are thankful there were no injuries, times like these always serve as a reminder of how our great community comes together to help each other in times of need and brings out the best in everyone. Please continue to pray for those affected as they work towards repairs and rebuilding of their homes.
