OPENS: Feb. 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

CLOSES: Feb. 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

As the parent or guardian of a student currently enrolled in our school district, under state law HB 251, you may request to transfer your child to another public school in the Paulding County School District for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

School Choice requests for currently enrolled students in grades K-11 must be made through Parent Portal under the “More” option from the Index beginning Feb. 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m., through Feb. 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.. Parents will be notified of the status of their HB251 request via email prior to end of the 2022-23 school year.

SB 10 Georgia Special Needs Scholarship

OPENS: Feb. 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

CLOSES: Feb. 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

As a provision of the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program (GSNSP), parents of students with disabilities who received special education services may choose to transfer their child to another public school in Paulding County. Parents may request a transfer to another public school as long as there is available space at that school and the school has a program with the services agreed to in the student’s existing Individualized Education Program (IEP).The application window for school choice for special needs students under Senate Bill 10, Georgia Special Needs Scholarship, will be open Feb. 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. through Feb. 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m..
