78.7% of Meriwether County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 20,659 citizens living in Meriwether County in 2021, 78.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 16,252 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,709 were male, constituting 47.4%, and 8,543 were female, making up 52.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Meriwether County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
