State Representative J Collins (R-Villa Rica) has been honored as Legislator of the Year by the Georgia State Firefighters Association and Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs. Speaking on the recognition, Rep. Collins expressed his gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor to be named Legislator of the Year by the Georgia Fire Service. As chairman of the Public Safety and Homeland Security committee, I recognize and commend these incredible men and women who sacrifice so much to serve and protect our communities. My colleagues and I will continue to advocate for our Georgia fire safety professionals, and I am greatly appreciative for their support of our work in the General Assembly.”
The Georgia State Firefighters Association and the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs annually select Legislators of the Year who consistently demonstrate unwavering support for Georgia’s Fire Service.
