There were 4,714 African American students enrolled in Carroll County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 6.4% more than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Carroll County school districts welcomed 20,790 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 22.7% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county's school districts.
