Congressman Brian Jack hosted Vice President JD Vance in Peachtree City to promote President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut and efforts to reduce regulations. The event took place at ALTA Refrigeration, a local manufacturer employing 150 workers.

Addressing more than 500 attendees, Vice President Vance said, “We want to make it easier to build in America, we want to make it harder to build overseas.  We want to make it easier to rely on our great American workers because we have a lot of them.  American businesses ought to employ American workers, and we want to make it harder to employ foreigners who take those jobs from Americans who deserve them.  And most importantly, if you’re working hard every single day right here in the United States, or if you’re building a business right here in the United States, you ought to have a tax code that rewards you instead of punishes you, and that’s what happened when we passed the Working Families Tax Cut just a couple of months ago.”

Congressman Jack added, “I am honored to welcome Vice President Vance, Administrator Zeldin, and Administrator Loeffler to my hometown of Peachtree City.  Today, we celebrated President Trump’s working families tax cuts and announced forthcoming relief for a job-killing Biden regulation that endangered 150 hardworking Georgians in our community.  Deregulation is a cornerstone of President Trump’s record-setting economic agenda, and our success in reversing costly regulations is creating jobs and unleashing prosperity across Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District.”

Earlier this year, Congressman Jack led the passage of legislation repealing a Biden Administration rule on tankless water heaters that affected a local business. Following this action, ALTA Refrigeration reached out for assistance with other federal regulations impacting their operations.

In 2023, new federal rules affecting the refrigeration industry were introduced by the Biden Administration. These regulations posed challenges for ALTA Refrigeration and its workforce.

ALTA President Eric Brown commented on the developments: “This is a monumental moment for ALTA Refrigeration.  Congressman Jack, in my book, is a rock star!”

Vice President Vance was joined by Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin and Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler during his visit.

The occasion marked the first time in over three decades that a sitting vice president visited Fayette County; the last visit was by Vice President Quayle in 1992.

In related news from 2024, Brian Jack won election against Maura Keller with approximately two-thirds of the vote (66.3% versus 33.7%).
