Callaway High School recently issued the following announcement.
We are joining the state of Georgia during the month of November to call attention to our FAMILIES during “Family Engagement Month”.
Interested students should plan to work on their writing pieces at home with limited help from their families.
Writing entries are due to your school’s front office by Friday, October 22nd at the end of the school day. Virtual learners may email their teachers their entries.
Community judges will score the entries and chose 1 winner from each grade level. Entries will be scored based on Ideas, Organization, Voice, and Neatness. Families will be notified by November 3rd if their child’s entry is a winner. Students and their families will be recognized at one of the November Board of Education meetings.
- Elementary Students' Writing Topic: Think about the perfect day with your family. Write about what that day would be like.
- Middle School Students' Writing Topic: Who do you admire the most in your family? Why?
- High School Students' Writing Topic: My Family Influences Me in Many Ways
