Items of importance when considering PVA:
- Registration will take place from February 18, 2022 – March 11, 2022.
- There is no opt out period. Applicants are committing to PVA for the entire 2022 – 2023 school year.
- If you are currently in PVA, you must re-register your child for PVA to remain in the program for the 2022-2023 school year.
- For high school students, a 2.5 GPA is strongly recommended.
- PVA will have a second Fall 2022 registration window for students wishing to attend PVA in the Spring of 2023.
- PVA grades K-8 participate in synchronous learning (live lessons Monday – Friday) which means that students are required to be online at specific times throughout the school day.
PVA students 9-12 have access to asynchronous learning and synchronous learning (independent online work and live lessons Monday -Friday). This is a blended model that allows students to primarily work at their own pace. There are also opportunities for live instruction and support with the teacher during regular school hours; at times, teachers may require all students to attend live sessions. Students who are failing or fall behind in their independent coursework will be required to regularly attend live support sessions with their teacher during normal school hours.
The handbooks for the 2022 – 2023 school year are being updated and will be posted soon. The handbook for the current year is available on this web page and can be downloaded below.
The mission of the Paulding Virtual Academy @ New Hope Education Center is to provide an individualized blended learning program to serve students in a non-traditional, focused environment emphasizing career skill development and building post-secondary connections required for future success. This mission will support our District's vision of success for all student's today and tomorrow.
