Carrollton High School had the highest enrollment among Carroll County schools, welcoming 1,747 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50% of them were male, and 50% were female.

The most represented ethnicity among Carrollton High School students was white, with 39% of students identifying as such.

Among the four schools in Carroll County, Carrollton Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,622 students, while Carrollton Upper Elementary School welcomed 1,201 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Carrollton High School is part of Carrollton City School District, which generally encompasses schools within Carroll County, with its main office in Carrollton.

In the previous school year, Carrollton High School also had the highest number of students among Carroll County schools.

While enrollment in Georgia inches closer to pre-pandemic levels, chronic absenteeism remains a serious challenge. In 2023, a significant portion of students (23%) missed 10% or more of their classes. Although this is slightly better than the peak of 25% in 2022, it's still nearly double the pre-pandemic rate of 13% recorded in 2019.
